Supporting other professionals
Here at Lewis & Co, we are proud to provide our accountancy services to a number of firms working within other professional services, including financial advisers, mortgage advisers, business consultants and small legal practices.
As a professional services firm ourselves, we understand the issues which these types of firms face when running their business and managing a successful professional practice. Often they are run as partnerships and we can help with setting up these partnerships and dealing with the particular tax implications associated with them. We can also assist with business structures and issues such as remuneration and rewards.
Along with setting up partnerships, we can also support clients as they bring on new partners at one end and deal with succession planning at the other, when partners wish to withdraw from a partnership or retire.
Many professional services firms have additional compliance they have to adhere to as a result of their accreditations and memberships – such as Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules for law firms – and we can support our clients with the accountancy and tax implications of that.
